The Stayover Kingfisher team have recently supported the Breakfast Club initiative at Peg's Creek Primary School with a donation of food and snacks.
The Breakfast Club is open every morning and allows students to come in and enjoy a free meal, ensuring that they don't start their school day hungry. It also provides lunches and special meals as needed throughout the school term, and wouldn't be possible without the hard work of the students and teachers who give up their time to run it.
Kane Tomaseveich, a Year 5-6 teacher at the school who is heavily involved in the Breakfast Club initiative, recently passed on his appreciation for Stayover's recent donation:
"On behalf of Pegs Creek Primary, we would like to thank you for your kind donation to our Breakfast Club. This club ensures every student starts the day with a full stomach and provides lunch for those who are not fortunate enough to have something to eat that day. Your funds have been vital in increasing the protein consumption for our kids through the purchase of fresh eggs, chicken, with fruit and vegetables. As well as lunch box snacks, breakfast cereals and ingredients to make healthier sandwich options. This donation will allow us to fund our breakfast club sufficiently for the next 3 months. We cannot thank you enough for the time and resources you put into our beautiful school."
